Ink & Wash
Wood surfaces are either pickled or whitewashed with a specialty acrylic product before inking. The inking may need to be misted with Krylon 1311 before washes of paint are applied.

The four pictures below are painted on real leaves. When collecting leaves in the fall, make sure they are not brittle or dried out. I press them in books and don't do anything to prep the leaves before painting. Frame the leaves on mat board behind glass.
